A vegan grocery stop : Abe’s Muffins [Vegan Mofo Day 9]

Just a little detour to show you how I’ve been doing and what I’ve been up to. I went to Whole Foods yesterday and grabbed some snacks for a trip. I saw a sign (cue Ace Of Base) and what do you know? A vegan mini muffin company with muffins for super cheap! That’s not a common sighting. I picked up a few of them in various flavors to try them out while I’m recovering from a crazy workweek.

Abe’s muffins are really stinking good. Note that I’m saying this not because I have to (read: this is not a paid endorsement) but they really are. They’re tiny 100-calorie morsels that I can eat in between days where I’m eating too much sugar. I tried the cranberry orange flavor so far, and its cranberry flavor is prominent but has a slight orange flavor and a typical toothsome bite you’d expect from a muffin. Vegan commodities can be pricy so I was glad they were just $1.69 this week, and noticed a few flavors were already gone. Boo (me), Yay (Abe’s).

How cute is this? I actually loved reading it so much that I smiled in the store.

Also, gluten-free folks, check these out! A half a sleeve is already gone. They’re also on sale this week at a pretty reasonable price.
